Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pharr-San Juan-Alamo). Everything went their way against the Edinburg Bobcats on Friday as the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears made off with a 23-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won nine in a row.

Arieanna Hernandez made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Aubrey Garza was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two triples. That's the most triples she has posted since back in February. Kaylie Lopez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Edinburg only posted an OBP of .375.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14 runs. As for Edinburg, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo has already played their next game, an 11-1 victory against Economedes on the 11th. As for Edinburg, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-0 win against La Joya on the 11th.
