Basketball Game Preview: Zion-Benton Zee-Bees vs. Lake Zurich Bears

The Zion-Benton Zee-Bees will head out to square off against the Lake Zurich Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Zion-Benton saw some tournament action last Thursday. They were outmatched by St. Francis de Sales and fell 61-33. The Zee-Bees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lake Zurich scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Metamora by a score of 70-67. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bears have suffered since February 2, 2024.

Zion-Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Lake Zurich, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Zion-Benton took a serious blow against Lake Zurich in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 70-43. Can Zion-Benton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
