Volleyball Game Preview: Pike Red Devils vs. Carmel Greyhounds

Pike is 0-10 against Carmel since September of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Red Devils will host the Greyhounds at 6:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Pike is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since September 2nd on Wednesday. They won by a set and slipped past Warren Central 3-2.

Pike was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 24-26, 16-25, 25-22, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Carmel had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Millers.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Carmel got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 14-25, 25-17, 27-29, 15-13.

Carmel's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Pike, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
