If Eastern Guilford wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Asheboro, they should've done a better job of containing Eva Vuncannon. The Blue Comets blew past the Wildcats 3-0 on Thursday for which the team can thank Vuncannon, who had seven aces and three digs. She has been hot recently, having also posted 12 or more assists the last three times she's played.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Asheboro took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-11, 25-13.
