Volleyball Recap: North Stanly Gets the Win

North Stanly hadn't done well against East Rowan recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Comets skirted past the Mustangs 3-2. For the Comets, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2022.

North Stanly wouldn't go down easily and took East Rowan into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-9, 25-23, 16-25, 16-14.

When it comes to explaining why East Rowan lost, don't look at Jordan Dry. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and one assist.

North Stanly's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for East Rowan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

North Stanly wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Carson on the 20th. As for East Rowan, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Lake Norman Charter on the 19th.
