Meanwhile, Central DeWitt was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 37-33 to Pleasant Valley. The loss continues a trend for Central DeWitt in their matchups with Pleasant Valley: they've now lost three in a row.

Central DeWitt now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Assumption, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
