Recap: Escalante Moquis vs. Grand County Red Devils
The Escalante Moquis's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 41-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grand County. Escalante lost against Grand County in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 48-41 score last time.
Cadence Kasprick continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Grand County, scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The game was Kasprick's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Rhiannon Hren was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Escalante now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Grand County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Escalante will be home for the holidays to greet Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Wayne focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday. Grand County and Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
