Recap: King's Academy Lions vs. Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the King's Academy Lions had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the ThunderWolves and snuck past 67-65. The win was nothing new for King's Academy as they're now sitting on five straight.
Ransom Soles continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Reggie Workman, who scored nine points along with seven assists and three steals.
Jayden St. Fort and Edmyer St jean certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. St. Fort went 8 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 0 assists, while St jean scored 16 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points St. Fort has scored all season. Jayden Molinary was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
King's Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for Oxbridge Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
King's Academy will square off against Benjamin at TBD on Thursday. Benjamin will be up against King's Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 55 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing. Oxbridge Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
