Penn Manor was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Billy Riggs did his best to prevent it. Muhlenberg had no answer to Riggs as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Riggs has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Riggs and Penn Manor will venture away from home to square off against Hempfield at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, Riggs' big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Comets' four-game streak of wins on the road.
