Basketball Game Preview: Legacy Academy vs. James River HomeSchool Eagles

Legacy Academy will challenge the James River HomeSchool Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Legacy Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 matches -- so hopefully James River HomeSchool likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Legacy Academy came up short against Veritas Collegiate Academy and fell 65-58.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Brandon Hill, who went 8 for 12 en route to 28 points and three steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anderson Allen, who went 9 of 12 on his way to 21 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, James River HomeSchool blew past New Bridge Academy, posting a 63-31 win. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Legacy Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for James River HomeSchool, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Legacy Academy took their win against James River HomeSchool in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 77-56. Does Legacy Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will James River HomeSchool turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
