Volleyball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Kirkwood

Kirkwood entered their tilt with Crittenden County on Saturday with six consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 2-0.

Kirkwood never let Crittenden County on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23.

Kirkwood can attribute much of their success to Jaydah Jordan, who had four digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Jordan a new career-high.

Jordan wasn't the only good server: Kirkwood was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive contests.

Kirkwood's record now sits at 6-0. As for Crittenden County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Kirkwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Owensboro Catholic on the 23rd. As for Crittenden County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Caldwell County on the 23rd.
