Recap: Liberty Ranch Hawks vs. Bear River Bruins
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Liberty Ranch Hawks walked away with it. They really took it to Bear River for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-18 victory at home. Liberty Ranch might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matches by 29 points or more this season.
Leading Liberty Ranch to victory were Oscar Romero and Joseph Brown. Romero rushed for 189 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries, while Brown rushed for 257 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. Brown was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards. Liberty Ranch also got a significant boost from Shaye Setter, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.
Liberty Ranch's victory was their fourth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points per game. As for Bear River, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Liberty Ranch will take on Sutter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bear River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
