Game recap: Beaver Falls High School Football Team takes down Freeport

FREEPORT, Pa. - After taking the lead in the fourth quarter, Beaver Falls (Pa.) held on for a 28-14 victory over Freeport (Pa.) on Saturday. The difference for the Tigers was it ran for a touchdown.

The Yellowjackets pulled ahead on a Brendan Lynch touchdown run, and subsequently went into halftime leading 6-0. The Tigers scored the winning points with a rushing touchdown that came in the fourth quarter.

Despite scoring 12 points in the third, Beaver Falls still trailed by 2 points going into the fourth quarter. But 16 points in the fourth helped BF pull out the victory.

Lynch made a difference for Freeport. The senior quarterback ran for two touchdowns. His performance brought his touchdown total to 14 on the year.



The Tigers' standout player in the win was Danian Rawl. The sophomore running back ran for one touchdown.

Beaver Falls entered the contest giving up 24.9 points per game this year. The defense really stepped up, holding FHS well below its season average of 26.8 points scored per game.
