Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Lansing). They walked away with a 10-5 win over the Haslett Vikings on Monday. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 16-2 loss the last time these two teams met.
Jade Saint-Dic made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Saint-Dic was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Izzy Antaya was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jessica Mielock, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
East Lansing always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

As for Haslett, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Fowlerville at 4:00 p.m. The Gladiators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.88 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
