Soccer Game Preview: East Davidson vs. Asheboro

The East Davidson Golden Eagles will challenge the Asheboro Blue Comets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. East Davidson has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight losses, while Asheboro will come in with four straight wins.

East Davidson lost 7-3 to Providence Grove on Friday. The Golden Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Meanwhile, Asheboro kept a clean sheet against Richmond on Wednesday. They beat the Raiders by a goal, winning 1-0. That's two games straight that the Blue Comets have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Jaira Arellano, who's now up to nine this season.

Asheboro's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for East Davidson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
