Basketball Recap: Basha Starts Season with Victory Against Pinnacle

Basha gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They strolled past the Pinnacle Pioneers with points to spare, taking the game 74-60. The Bears pushed the score to 58-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pioneers cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Pinnacle saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rhys Robinson went 6-for-7 en route to 17 points. Cam Hurt was another key player, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 12 points.

Basha didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-45 victory against West Point on the 21st. As for Pinnacle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 78-63 win against Desert Mountain on the 21st.
