Basketball Recap: Brainerd Comes Up Short

Brainerd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 59-40 fall against the Bledsoe County Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 46-28 defeat last Tuesday.

Bledsoe County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Molly Agee out in front who went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points and five steals. Agee has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Lilianne Sherrell was another key player, going 7-for-17 on her way to 18 points.

Brainerd's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Bledsoe County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-16 record this season.

Brainerd does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bledsoe County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 42-30 defeat against Sequatchie County on the 22nd.
