St. Mary Catholic Central has gone a perfect 7-0 against Grosse Ile recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Falcons/Kestrels will host the Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Mary Catholic Central has three straight victories, Grosse Ile has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While St. Mary Catholic Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Dundee 9-1 on Thursday. The Falcons/Kestrels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Grosse Ile lost 13-6 to Anderson on Saturday.

Meghan Johnson and Alex Ganzberger stepped up to the plate in a big way. Johnson went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Ganzberger went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Johnson has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Malayna Jarnot, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

St. Mary Catholic Central's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Grosse Ile, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

St. Mary Catholic Central beat Grosse Ile 8-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Falcons/Kestrels repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
