Gardendale barely beat Hueytown the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rockets' pitchers stepped up to hand the Golden Gophers an 11-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Rockets have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Gardendale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Hueytown, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-9.

Looking ahead, Gardendale will head out on the road to face off against Mountain Brook at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hueytown, they will welcome Jasper at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
