Football Recap: Mt. Morris Takes a Loss

Mt. Morris fell victim to Montrose and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Rams 44-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Rams are ranked 91st).

Mt. Morris' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Montrose, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Coming up, Mt. Morris will head out to challenge Hemlock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Huskies at the right time seeing as the Huskies are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Montrose, they will be playing at home against Gabriel Richard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Rams 4.8, the Fighting Irish 14) so any points scored will be well earned.
