Basketball Game Preview: Council Lumberjacks vs. Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies

The Council Lumberjacks will venture away from home to face off against the Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Council will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Council didn't have too much trouble with Tri-Valley as they won 56-39. The Lumberjacks pushed the score to 48-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Titans cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Greenleaf Friends Academy came up short against Cascade on Friday, falling 48-27. The contest marked the Grizzlies' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Council's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. As for Greenleaf Friends Academy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Council came out on top in a nail-biter against Greenleaf Friends Academy when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 43-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Council since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
