Softball Recap: Valley Head Tigers vs. Anniston Bulldogs

Valley Head not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st. They blew past the Anniston Bulldogs 14-7. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Bulldogs on Monday, they had to take a 6-3 defeat.

Olivia Harrison and Lexi Coffman made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Harrison tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Coffman struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Harrison has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Harrison scored three runs while going 2-for-4, while Coffman scored three runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits Coffman has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Adleigh Lockett was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Palmer, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
