Baseball Recap: Porter Takes a Loss

Porter had taken Mounds down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Porter Pirates took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mounds Golden Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by exactly five runs.

Porter is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. As for Mounds, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Porter is taking a road trip to take on New Lima at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Mounds will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Haskell at 5:00 p.m. on March 24th.
