Baseball Recap: Thunderbird Takes a Loss

Thunderbird entered their match against Skyline on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Thunderbird Titans lost 16-3 to the Skyline Coyotes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 16-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2017.

Thunderbird saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Donathan, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Donathan also put up a hit, which was his first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Thunderbird fell to 3-1. As for Skyline, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Thunderbird will square off against Cactus Shadows at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cactus Shadows' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Thunderbird's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Skyline, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 win against Westwood on the 1st.
