Softball Recap: Apple Valley Takes a Loss

The Apple Valley Eagles came up short against the Northfield Raiders on Monday and fell 8-3. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amelia Duran spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Apple Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ginny Gores, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Gores has hit this season. Abby Larson was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Apple Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Coming up, Apple Valley will head out to square off against Burnsville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
