Smyrna is 8-2 against LaVergne since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will take on the Wolverines at 12:00 p.m. Smyrna will be strutting in after a win while LaVergne will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Smyrna turned things around against Cane Ridge on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Ravens with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Smyrna took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-10.

Meanwhile, LaVergne lost 3-0 to Cookeville last Thursday. The Wolverines have struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-6, 25-17.

Smyrna's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for LaVergne, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Everything went Smyrna's way against LaVergne in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Smyrna made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
