Volleyball Recap: Wylie Prep Academy Wins Going Away Against Covenant

Wylie Prep Academy's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Covenant Knights 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Wylie Prep Academy never let Covenant on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-15.

Reagan Lipe paced Wylie Prep Academy's offense, picking up 20 kills. Lipe got some help from Jaylee Rye and her 31 assists. Lipe was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

The win got Wylie Prep Academy back to even at 5-5-1. As for Covenant, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wylie Prep Academy will venture away from home to take on Prince of Peace at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Covenant, they will take on Parish Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
