It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but East Wilkes had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Starmount Rams with a sharp 3-0 victory. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cardinals yet this season.

The win didn't come easy: Starmount scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-18.

East Wilkes is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-16 record this season. As for Starmount, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-12.

As of now, neither East Wilkes nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
