Stockbridge extends home winning streak to 11

Recap: Stockbridge Tigers vs. Midtown Knights

On Wednesday, Stockbridge strolled past Midtown with points to spare, taking the game 53-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Stockbridge.

Stockbridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carrington Wilson out in front who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jayla Fulks, who scored 16 points along with three steals.

Midtown lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Devin Bockman, who scored 13 points. The contest was Bockman's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sinclair Richman, who scored ten points along with three steals.

Midtown struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Stockbridge pushed their record up to 9-4 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.27 points. As for Midtown, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stockbridge will take on Hampton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hampton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 430th, while Stockbridge is ranked 46th). As for Midtown, they will be playing at home against Creekside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: C'India Dennis and Bockman.
