Volleyball Recap: Redwood Find Success

Redwood saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the Sunnyside Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

Among those leading the charge was Journey Vela, who had nine digs and two aces.

Vela wasn't the only good server: Redwood was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in five consecutive games.

Redwood's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Sunnyside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Redwood has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Hoover on the 30th. As for Sunnyside, they will venture away from home to square off against Bullard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
