Soccer Game Preview: Rockbridge County vs. William Monroe

Rockbridge County is 0-3 against William Monroe since April of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Rockbridge County comes in on three and William Monroe on ten.

Rockbridge County proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by four) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past Spotswood 3-2.

Meanwhile, William Monroe kept a clean sheet against Spotswood on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Trailblazers with a sharp 3-0 win. William Monroe might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by three goals or more this season.

William Monroe's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Rockbridge County, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Rockbridge County suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to William Monroe in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
