Soccer Game Preview: Patton vs. Polk County

The Patton Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Polk County Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Patton comes in on three and Polk County on six.

Patton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against Hendersonville as they made off with a 4-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Patton, who have now won 15 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Polk County's game on Monday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against West Caldwell, sneaking past 3-2.

Cooper Meyer and Thomas Varnadore scored all three of Polk County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 42 goals.

Patton's win bumped their record up to 20-2-2. As for Polk County, their victory bumped their record up to 16-0-3.
