Basketball Game Preview: Desert View Jaguars vs. Buena Colts

Desert View is 0-10 against Buena since December of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Desert View Jaguars will be playing at home against the Buena Colts at 7:00 p.m. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant forwards against one another: Luis Felix and Jamin Booker.

Desert View is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Friday. They were outmatched by Cienega and fell 108-44. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Bobcats are ranked 44th).

Meanwhile, Buena entered their tilt with Nogales on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 73-32 win over the Apaches. The Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Buena pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.9 points over those games. As for Desert View, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.
