Recap: Concord Raiders vs. St. Georges Tech Hawks
The Concord Raiders lost against the St. Georges Tech Hawks back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Concord had to suffer through a rough 79-49 loss at the hands of St. Georges Tech. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Concord in their matchups with St. Georges Tech: they've now lost four in a row.
Blair Thomas was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds and five steals for St. Georges Tech. The team also got some help courtesy of Emory Womack, who scored 15 points along with seven assists.
Concord has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for St. Georges Tech, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concord will face off against Wilmington Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilmington Charter is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for St. Georges Tech, they will head out on the road to challenge Newark at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
