Basketball Game Preview: White Pigeon Chiefs vs. Brandywine Bobcats

The White Pigeon Chiefs will be taking part in a tournament against the Brandywine Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as White Pigeon comes in on nine and Brandywine on 23.

White Pigeon proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 26) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 34-31 win over Constantine. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chiefs have posted against the Falcons since December 9, 2014.

Bridgman typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Brandywine proved too difficult a challenge. They took their game with ease, bagging a 47-11 win over the Bees. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Brandywine pushed their record up to 23-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.2 points. As for White Pigeon, their win bumped their record up to 20-4.

White Pigeon was taken down by Brandywine 63-13 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can White Pigeon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
