While the Heritage Eagles couldn't quite beat the Castle View Sabercats on Thursday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 26-point loss they were dealt last Tuesday. Heritage fell just short of Castle View by a score of 57-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Heritage lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cam Jensen, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jensen has scored all season. Trystan Rangel was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Castle View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Vitorio Dante, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Evan Mckean, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.

Heritage has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Castle View, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-11.

Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Castle View also has no future games currently scheduled.
