Softball Recap: Boone Comes Up Short

Boone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Newton Cardinals. The game marked the first time this year in which the Toreadors were not able to get on the board.

Boone's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Newton, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.

Coming up, Boone will face off against North Polk at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newton, they will challenge Pleasantville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
