Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jacob Lowry and Ryker Stokes Lead Paxton to Victory

Paxton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 54-44 victory over the Florala Wildcats. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 50-44 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading Paxton to victory were Ryker Stokes and Jacob Lowry. Stokes went 6-for-12 on his way to 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals, while Lowry made all 5 shots he took racking up 12 points. That's the most points Stokes has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cade Stewart, who earned eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Paxton's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Florala, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Paxton will head out to square off against Pensacola Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Florala, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Laurel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on December 5.
