Soccer Recap: Lone Star Takes a Loss

Lone Star's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Reedy Lions by a score of 1-0. The Rangers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Lone Star's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Reedy, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Lone Star and Reedy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Lone Star will square off against Turner at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 193 places (67 vs. 260). Lone Star will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Reedy (ranked 145th) will meet Newman Smith (ranked 499th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
