Baseball Recap: Springfield Southeast Gets the Win

While Springfield Southeast's win against Lanphier wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans came out on top against the Lions on Monday by a score of 4-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

T Herrington made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Springfield Southeast is 8-3 when Herrington posts two or more runs, but 3-16 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on B Twist, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
