Football Recap: Twelve Bridges Starts Season with Win Against Christian Brothers + How To Watch

Twelve Bridges had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Christian Brothers Falcons to the tune of 42-7. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Raging Rhinos just coasted through the last quarter.

Chase Wyhlidko had a dynamite game, rushing for 127 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Dylan Amos was in the mix as well, providing Twelve Bridges with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Twelve Bridges was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 282 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 205 rushing yards in 16 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Twelve Bridges' defense stepped up as well, laying out Deakon Holden. four times. Colton Hogge was especially locked on to Christian Brothers' QB and sacked him twice.

Looking ahead, Twelve Bridges will be playing at home against Reed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Christian Brothers, they are taking a road trip to square off against San Joaquin Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
