Recap: Pleasant Ridge Rams vs. Tonganoxie Chieftains
The Pleasant Ridge Rams won the last time they faced the Tonganoxie Chieftains, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Pleasant Ridge walked away with a 50-42 victory over Tonganoxie. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pleasant Ridge.
Pleasant Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kelsi Ko led the charge by scoring nine points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Ernzen, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Pleasant Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Tonganoxie, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Ridge will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Jefferson County North on January 30th. As for Tonganoxie, they will challenge Turner at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
