Basketball Recap: Harborfields Comes Up Short

Harborfields suffered their closest loss since December 14, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the West Islip Lions by a score of 45-43. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-34 back in December of 2025.

Harborfields has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for West Islip, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-7.

Coming up, Harborfields will face off against Comsewogue at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Islip, they will square off against Half Hollow Hills West at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
