JR Jackson Tops All Others This Week

Starting off the list is Alliance's JR Jackson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jackson threw for 321 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 39 yards.

This season, Jackson has thrown 11 touchdowns while averaging 129.1 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after nine games last season, he was only averaging 0.44 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 38.67 rushing yards.

West Branch Gets a Boost from Thomas in 33-6 Win

Jeremiah Thomas's big game helped extend West Branch's winning streak to nine on Friday. Thomas was unstoppable, rushing for 91 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 287 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.

West Branch's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Thomas and West Branch will challenge Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Joey Jackson and Co. Win Ninth in a Row

Joey Jackson's big game helped extend West Branch's winning streak to nine on Friday. Jackson did his part (and then some), picking up 154 receiving yards and a touchdown for the 'W'.

Unfortunately for Carrollton, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Jackson. Jackson picked up 138 receiving yards and three touchdowns the last time he and Carrollton duked it out back in October of 2023.

Boston Mulinix Delivers Electric Effort Vs Carrollton

West Branch picked up their ninth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Boston Mulinix. Mulinix turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 163 yards while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2023.

Mulinix might have his next game, a road matchup with Salem, circled on his calendar. When Mulinix last faced the Quakers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries.

Brady White Makes It Two for Alliance

The second Alliance player making an appearance here is Brady White, and for good reason. He picked up 93 receiving yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

On the year, White has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 38.8 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging four receiving yards per game.
