It's playoff time, and Mercer Island had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Inglemoor Vikings by a score of 59-49 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Islanders: when they faced off against the Vikings two weeks ago, they had to take a 65-55 defeat.

Mercer Island got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anna Marsh out in front who went 7-for-11 to rack up 21 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards. What's more, Marsh also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Clara Stowe, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Mercer Island's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Inglemoor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.

Mercer Island wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 56-49 victory against West Seattle on the 15th. As for Inglemoor, they have also already played their next game, a 48-34 loss against Roosevelt on the 15th.
