Baseball Game Preview: Manor Mustangs vs. Cedar Ridge Raiders

Manor hasn't had much luck against Cedar Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mustangs will head out to face off against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Manor has given up an average of 13.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Manor is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game on Thursday. They lost 31-2 to McNeil.

Meanwhile, Cedar Ridge waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They skirted past the Eagles 9-7.

Hudson Hartgrove and Matthew Fletcher made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Hartgrove tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Fletcher pitched two innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Hartgrove has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. At the plate, Hartgrove went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Fletcher went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Diego Olivas was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasen Langerhans, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Cedar Ridge's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-6-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Manor, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18.

Manor suffered a grim 19-0 defeat to Cedar Ridge when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
