Softball Recap: Aztec Has No Trouble Against Kirtland Central

Aztec won the last time they faced Kirtland Central and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over the Broncos. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Aztec got a massive performance out of Alexyn Candelaria, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Those four runs gave Candelaria a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cheyenne Yellow, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Aztec lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.

Aztec's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Kirtland Central, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Aztec has already played their next game, a 20-2 win against Bloomfield on the 1st. As for Kirtland Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-1 victory against Shiprock on the 1st.
