Basketball Recap: Lisbon Comes Up Short

Lisbon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Oak Grove Lutheran Grovers 76-32. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-12.

Lisbon's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brynley Differding, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Brynn Wiltse, who scored nine points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Wiltse a new career-high in steals.

Lisbon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Oak Grove Lutheran, they moved to 9-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Lisbon has already played their next matchup (against Hankinson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Oak Grove Lutheran will square off against Central Cass at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Oak Grove Lutheran's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
