Basketball Recap: Byron Nelson Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

Byron Nelson hadn't done well against Southlake Carroll recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Byron Nelson Bobcat came out on top against the Southlake Carroll Dragons by a score of 45-36. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcat sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

It was another big night for Belle Ratliff, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Moss, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 13 points.

Byron Nelson pushed their record up to 18-8 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points per game. As for Southlake Carroll, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-9.

Coincidentally, Byron Nelson and Southlake Carroll will both be playing Trinity the next time they take the court. Southlake Carroll will host Trinity at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, while Byron Nelson will head out to face them at 5:45 p.m. on January 14th.
