Softball Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Riverside was the 9-5 winner over East Poinsett County when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Rebels took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Riverside now has a losing record of 5-6. As for East Poinsett County, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Riverside is taking a road trip to challenge Paragould at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Poinsett County, they will host Buffalo Island Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.07 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
